Enrolments at Quest Early Learning Centre
A simple, supportive process to help your family start the Quest journey.
How to prepare
Preparing for your child’s first days is mostly about keeping things calm, familiar and simple. If you can, talk positively about childcare in the lead-up — things like “You’re going to play, meet new friends and your educators will look after you.” It can also help to do a few early bedtimes the week before, so mornings feel easier and your child isn’t starting tired.
On the practical side, we recommend packing a clearly labelled bag with a change of clothes (or two), a hat, a water bottle and any comfort item your child loves, like a soft toy or small blanket. If your child uses nappies, bottles or a dummy, include those too. Dress them in comfortable clothes they can move in easily — and shoes they can manage themselves if they’re practising independence.
If you’re able to, an orientation visit before the first day can make a big difference. And on the day, a short, confident goodbye works best — a cuddle, a quick “I’ll be back after afternoon tea,” and then handover to the educator. It’s completely normal for children (and parents) to feel emotional at the start, and our team will support you through the settling-in process.
